Re: Panther development thread

guys, if anything on the minifeed page is changed, the address to the page changes :'( it means the reader only works until someone adds something to the page, then the address changes and the old address becomes "unpublished" ... you can write a new post, but no other elements can be added to that page. I'm adding an element saying not to add elements and then if people could refrain from adding to it, that would be good. new minifeed posts can still be added.

Re: Panther development thread

Right. PantherOnline is now avaliable for review on the tutorial page, it's not a tutorial, but i'm gonna take it off again soon.

capabilities:
• reads the newsreader file and presents it using a gobo
• reads the Panther mini feed.
• can check connection to Panther site.
• tells you if your version of PantherOnline has been outdated and reccomends you update.

to do:
• read community news (there is none yet)
• use date blocks to schedule updates (date/time blocks currently won't save)

things you could do:
• think of a way to get the panther feed to be printed out so a new line does not start mid-word.
• suggest things.

Look at my 0s1s scratch reader. It uses something like that.

Re: Panther development thread

hey! nXIII fixed file reading in fullscreen ^_^ that's brilliant! I have a pen tablet rather than a mouse which means anything I try and click on the stage when in editor mode ends up being dragged instead most of the time. ^_^ I'm so happy about that ^_^

Re: Panther development thread

guts, I have no idea where is problem is coming from, but when the mini feed is updated, the address changes from http://pantherprogramming.weebly.com/minifeed.html to http://pantherprogramming.weebly.com/minifeed.html ... they're exactly the same, but Panther will still error! me! you HAVE to copy and paste the identical address into the project to get it to work!

Re: Panther development thread

AHA! Your Panther online 1.0 has 2 of the old variable blocks. They are obsolete!

set t2 to (letters OBSOLETE! - OBSOLETE! of (line 58 of file at URL (feed adress))
