Re: Panther development thread

Ill give the code lol

('take photo from camera' #- #takePhoto)

I recommend you first do this,

switch to costume ______(costume 1)
take photo from camera
wait until costume no. > 1

That way it detects when a picture was taken.

But that asks a message. We already have that block.

that's a good way around waiting for the picture, what happens if someone takes two? the prompt box does not close till you press done.

and yes, we already have that block, it was posted earlier by electric

Re: Panther development thread

I'm making a script to switch to the first picture, no matter how many they take. I will post it when I am done, then you can make it into one block.

Re: Panther development thread

hmm, I think an [ask for (1) pictures] block would be more useful as then the prompt will dissapear after n pictures are taken.

very good, I like the solution. If we can get a "delete costume" block for Panther, then that script can later delete any extra costumes you tried to take... or even delete all the pictures but the last one, that way people can have several shots at taking the picture.

interestingly enough, I named my copy of the camera block differently to you, but it was still there in the script when it was downloaded... which should mean I can change all the words "color" and replace them with "colour" and there would be no side effects for downloaders... though I won't be able to rename the graphic effect "color" "colour" because then it will register as an unknown effect on another copy of Scratch or Panther... I'm rambling.

Re: Panther development thread

could I have a little help please? I'm trying to get the delete costume block to work.

Code:

 #- ('delete costume %l' #- #)

shows as a block, but does nothing because I can't find the delete instance. I wanted to nab the instance "#deleteMedia" from the little delete button next to each costume, but it didn't work... do I have to write a new one, or is there one I can already use?
