Ok guys, big problem, my game didn't save, it was beeping at me, but why hasn't it?! all thats left is the very basic stuff I added at the begining!
that happened to me once with Panther, red boxes left right and centre. It wouldn't let me save and I had to export all the sprites and force Panther to close using ctrl+alt+del menu.
No, i mean its like i didn't save, its obviously saved before, but i didn't get any red boxes, it had pinged at me several times, like it was't happy, the same noise that i makes with the full screen thing, im going to have to look at the pictures I took and go from there.
Highscore update!
Not that well, I'm having trouble re-making it... kind annoying, plus its having trouble collecting information from the highscore file... I've got another idea, but i dont know if it'll work.
OH!!! DUH!!! Why wasn't I thinking? You need the dlls to save! Go to C:\Program Files\Scratch if you have windows and copy
CameraPlugin.dll
Mpeg3Plugin.dll
UnicodePlugin.dll
ScratchPlugin.dll
WeDoPlugin.dll
Now paste them in the Panther folder.

Can I help you beta test panther?

there, once those .dll's were added, fullscreen worked fine
things to do before release:
1) add dll's
2) get everthing that works in editor mode to work in presentation mode (eg cloning)
3) replace scratch cat image with Panther image.
4) change the folder name "scratch projects" to "Panther projects"
possibly:
5)create a new folder in the Panther folder called "text files" or something.
6) supply 3+ temp files called temp1.txt, temp2.txt etc.
7) set the new "text files" folder as the default path for the I/O blocks so no path is needed.

I/o Warning Does Not Appear When You Are In Fullscreen!
EDIT: and when in fullscreen, the value of a content block becomes the default a scratch stage/sprite morph () ... so reading does not work in fullscreen.

ooh! Panther can read Word documents! unfortunately it also adds a load of gobbldygook at regular intervals that would be invisible if it was viewed in Word. It would probably be possible to get a script to edit this out, but tbh, what's the point? good old notepad is fine.
Word documents are just a bunch of jibberish when viewed in something simple like NotePad. Word parses the gibberish and then displayes the actual file.

Thats because it has all the extra hidden parts like \n = newline and a whole load more, in C# you can use commands like padleft() and padright() to take them off, thats why we use .txt documents because thats jut plain text, I think word documents are classed as Rich Text documents.

ok,ok, stop making fun of my ignorance and get back on topic. (I felt that the gobbldygook was there to structure the text for Word, and no, I DIDN'T think that Panther was putting that gook in during translation.
while we ARE off topic, can someone tell me what the heck "bounce" means in the forums and why on earth some topics light up blue? It's been driving me crazy!

Bounce? Never seen that, and the topics which are blue are recently changed ones, like if someones posted recently.

I don't know what you mean by bounce but the topics turn blue when someone post something since you last on Scratch.

Ok... It seems it seems my project has saved this time.

Maybe you could release a public beta. Scratch does. It would give users an idea of what panther is like and you won't keep us waiting.

haha! no... hidden motives in that suggestion at all

Did I mention that the longer you make people wait, the less users you'll have, the more useless all of your hard work will be?

good point. though at the moment we haven't announced Panther outside this forum.
It's not my descision anyway, though I think there are too many chinks left to fix. maybe when the fullscreen problem we are experiencing is fixed it would be good for a release.

Oh, beta release?
First Dev beta, then semi-public (Chosen tester) beta, and then full public?

Could you give me the pasword again, the way you did last time?
