Re: Panther development thread

Haven't you downloaded scratch? I ran a virus scan on panther, it was fine. (I check everything). You could just say it's a scratch thing, which it is.

Re: Panther development thread

unless nXIII decided to plant a virus there's no chance of a virus being in Panther, and I doubt he would do that. I like the chat thing on the mod page, you guys check it out!

It doesn't work, your missing some files needed for it to run.  You need the soundbank.gm

You don't NEED that to make it run...

Re: Panther development thread

It's very good, but when I opened it in Scratch (I already have the function keys hacked into the key pressed boolein) it does not recognise it so I have yet to see if it'll work with Panther. Also, F2 is reserved for Scratch and opens up a VM prefences window.

You probably have "f1" as "F1" in your key names...

Re: Panther development thread

nXIII, can you get variables to drop into list names for Python? I see that Mathwizz did it as a temporary force, but it would be useful  smile

Guys: I have a problem.

My parents won't let me download anything unless it's from a trusted source.

The danger isn't really in downloading them... save them to your local drive and then scan them with an antivirus program if you don't trust me... hmm .

Off-topic: I definitely want to add file I/O support, much more than internet (it might be a tiny bit more useful, but it can also be a lot worse), but I don't want someone to be able to put a 'create file [someNumber]; change [someNumber] by 1' type thing in a 'repeat 100000000' loop and crash your computer among other sticky results. I was thinking, then, that I would make the 'create file' and 'write to file' blocks (possible the 'read file' one too) come up with a dialog prompting the user if they want to continue with the operation.

My parents get mad if I download stuff without their permission.

So tell them that the danger is more in running/opening than in downloading, and tell them that it's for a collab.

Still. They won't know what that means.

Good idea! Really easy, too  big_smile

Up...DATE!: I have added a new category, files (it may include URL stuff too) which will include all the file I/O blocks
