What do I post here? Please read before posting.

This is the advanced Topic section of the Scratch forums and people have lately been posting things that, while seeming advanced to them, doesn’t really belong here.

So before you post, answer these questions about what you are going to post to work out if it should go here or not:

♦ Does my question ask for help with a tricky scratch script that does not use any outside scripts such as Python with remote sensor connections?

^ Then post it in "All about scratch" here: http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewforum.php?id=6

♦Does my question highlight a glitch or suggests an improvement for relationships between scratch and other programs through remote sensor connections?

^ Then post it in "suggestions" here: http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewforum.php?id=13

♦Does my post talk about suggestions or problems with Scratch sensor boards or picoboards?

^ Then it belongs in "Sensor boards" here: http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewforum.php?id=26

The above questions do not fit the criteria for this section of the forum.
Below are some of the things that do:

♦ Does my post ask for help with or ask a question about Squeak or the scratch source code?

^ Then it belongs here!

♦ Does my post ask questions or have suggestions for scratch based/compatible programs such as Snyff by Chalkmorrow, BYOB (or other programs by Jens Mönig) or Streak by Billy Edward?

^then yes, post it here

♦ Does my post have questions about connecting Scratch to other parts of my computer so that one can influence the other?

^post it here!

♦ Does my post have queries about relationships between Scratch and it's Java player?

^post it here!
________________________________________________________________________________

♦ Does my post talk about increasing the memory for scratch?

^don't bother, it's already here. Do a quick search in the search bar before posting something, you might find someone has already done it and you can save yourself some time!

Tricky scripts that involve Trig and 3D like movement can go here though. Plus, if your completely lost with the script you could post it here. But i like it.

Everyone Should know that, but people often seem to post things that really aren't that advanced simply because they find it advanced themselves, such as the recently posted topic asking how to make a sprite move with the arrow keys. I was hoping to provide a way to help people to post their topics in the correct forum.

You won't get in a jam when you add a little ham because when you add meat, your life will be sweet.                     .
