Oh - animations are programming, and I'd hate to see you stop making them.  wink

Re: The RPG Generation

-___- meh. i look back on these posts and now i feel like quitting Scratch. Like i said bfore, alot of people RP because they dont know how to make games,or whatever. Like me,i absolutely FAIL. Heck,i barely know how to use the simple drawing attachments on Scratch!!! But i want to talk with friends. I personally think RPG's are a wonderful idea, and a pretty good way to express your personality without colour.

Sigh. I never knew that people felt so strongly against RPGers..maybe I should stop before I get flamed.

Re: The RPG Generation

Well, all of my life, I've been shunned from my community. And with RPGing, I'm accepted. But if people don't like it, I'll stop. I don't like it when people get upset, and I especially don't like it when I'm a factor.

Yeah. Pretty much. My motto is: Nerds will rule the world one day. Deal with it.

But it gets irritating after a while. The teasing, I mean.

Pretending to be an animal doesn't make you a nerd. I don't even know if that counts as a game since you are just talking about what you animal does without any sort of rules or structure. Do some real role playing with D&D then you may call yourself a nerd.

You don't have to stop! There's a Text-Based Games forum on the Scratch website! It's here! You can RPG there, and you won't have to worry...  smile

And we don't flame RPGers.  wink

Re: The RPG Generation

Maybe RPGs should be required to have a limit--like only 50 posts a day. That'll lower the  number of potential Scratchers rotting their brains killing pretend orcs.

And how exactly do you plan on getting that implemented?
There's no way to limit the amount of comments someone can write

Sometimes I wonder if Scratch pop media's RPGing is an accurate definition.

I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

I don't see anything wrong with RPGs... what I see as wrong is when a user will only RPG, without Scratching at all.  sad

RPG's are fine - but using the Scratch website for them is rather weird - they're better off in the Text-Based Gamessmile
