I really liked it. Why did it get removed?
EDIT:
Oh, and what I was talking about was to bring back the
scratchfont. It was quite an awsome font. Sooo,
I hope it comes back.

I agree. It was great. D:
Hopefully somebody tells us how to hack Scratch so that we can get the font and install it on our computers. >:3

I guess they decided that you only need the fonts installed on your computer to make projects. I totally agree on this one, but it isn't really neccesary

I would like VerdanaBold back too.

Hmm... maybe it was included with Scratch before, and now it isn't? I'm not sure about the history of this. Anyway, if you'd like to download it and install it on your computer, you can get it here.
Enjoy!

You can download the Scratch font from the Scratch holiday logo page.
http://info.scratch.mit.edu/Holidaylogos
or if you're lazy I have the link here
http://info.scratch.mit.edu/sites/infos … CR_TTF.zip
I have over 200 fonts on my computer.

Lol weird. On the holiday logo page, the description of the logo for Halloween 2008 says that the logo was created by AnneCube, but really it was created by me. Awww. 3:

The Scratch font won't work unless it's installed on your computer with 1.3 and above, although 1.2 and below was a different case. It was available in 1.1 and 1.2, but because of some language encoding thing in 1.3, it got removed - and also allowed people to choose a number of fonts from their computers.
Before 1.3, the only fonts you had were Aardvark, Cheri, ComicBook, ComicSans, Emulator, Letteromatic, Parchment, PenMark, Radaern, Scratch, Textile, Times, TimesBold, Typewriter, Verdana, and VerdanaBold. Pretty limited, huh?
I remember there being a link to download it... It wasn't called Scratch, as I recall.
EDIT: Here's a link to download it: http://scratch.mit.edu/files/logo/SCR.TTF.zip. Enjoy, although it was pointed out earlier in this quite dated thread.

2007 stuff...
Old version of scratch only let you use about 12 pre-installed fonts. You couldn't use ones from your computer.
They changed it now though, so obviously, you can't get the font unless you download it
