Make flash games with free software
I am just posting this incase anyone in interesting in making flash games

Flixel is an actionscript library that help you make flash games without the need for adobe's overpriced software. You can look at the wiki for help on how to program.

Its harder to use than scratch but if you need help with it the wiki is there for you.

Nah, I would say its a bit harder to use than flash CS4, but its free.

I meant is it as free to use as Scratch and the original Flash is? Or is one of the languages where you just import set sprites in from the website or whatever, and can only use those vs an actual language.

No its an actual language (AS3) and you can fully program in it. To use flixel you need to download flashdevelop

It is fully free but it is just for programming whereas flash is also good for art and animations. Its not like scratch where you drag n drop whatever and you actually have to script things.

You can get a free trial, and then get the serial number when it's trial is over, but that's illegal. :p Which is why I don't have it.

Overpriced or not, piracy is illegal. You might have a different feeling if you become a professional software developer and it's the fruits of your labor that are being enjoyed for free. Anyway, please don't advocate illegal activities on the Scratch website. Thanks and Scratch On!
