Development is slow over here - so I'll share a few facts about what I'm making:
- It is by far my best project ever
- It is graphically superior to all other games of it's kind
- It will have 8 stages
- I have only completed an 8th of the content and one whole game mode and the size is at 14MB uncompressed
- The game is so advanced that it runs at 12 fps in presentation mode (and I don't even want to say what it's like outside) on the No CPU gamemode
- Because of this - The game has a frameskip feature that allows the game to run full speed (but doesn't get rid of the frame loss)
- It has an advanced scrolling distance based sound system.
- It will be the biggest game on scratch.
The only thing I wish for is that it could be faster - and I'm hoping when 2.0 comes out that it will be playable - because the frameskip isn't perfect (friction becomes stronger at lower framerates)...

- It will be the biggest game on scratch.Doubted again
What's this project even about?

The limit is 10MB, which IMO needs to be changed.

I did a test upload onto a seeecret acount and it compressed the 12MB version to like 2MB but everything looked and sounded like rubbish because of the heavy compression.
Hmm - maybe for projects your MB limit goes up the longer you are on scratch?

When you say biggest you mean file size, right? The biggest game on Scratch game wise is M44's Factory(or something like that) or one of Canthiar's projects. And I doubt this will be the most popular. Sorry if I am being an all time downer right now, I haven't taken my happy pills yet
Seriously

Cool Game
Okay
Pills that make everything smiley faces so I don't have a spaz attack every 3 seconds. Trust me, spazzing is not fun.

12 fps in presentation mode!? So, running it online is absolutely out of the question.

Yup. Doing some online tests it ran at what - 4?
I'm afraid that it won't work online. Also the fact that the online player doesn't handle the many sound playing at once and screeches loud enough to destroy your ear drums. And the graphics errors. And the miscalculations.
This is much worse than your SSB game. The lag is caused by the extreme scrolling.

What sort of scrolling causes that much lag?

Hehe. I am guessing that at this laggy rate you are using a stamp engine? If you used regular scrolling it wouldn't be that bad. But of course, you are RHY-there is no such thing as regular

Actually - it's all sprites.
16 sprites. 4 4x4 infinite scroll compatable sprites.

Then why is it so laggy? I thought that would be better...

12/16 of them are involved in collision detection.

16 sprites of scrollness doesn't mean the end product will be any good. Right now the CPU is the worst player ever and the lag in unbearable. I don't think I'll be able to put the multiplayer feature in, either.
