ok, so letta du stenr
actually, i think Thverr du stenr (traverse the stone) would do better.

that is a very dangerous spell, but really good! then to stop the shield, say Letta du skolir meaning Stop the Shield

And you can't get energy from the sun either.
Oromis never said that, did he? The sun would be a good place to get energy from.

No Oromis said that they cannot get their energy from a fire or the Sun, because there can be no spell for that. Did you read the whole book?!
i didnt read the whole book yet. but he probably just said there is no spell for that. and i just made one. besides, this isnt exactly like the book

Yes, but that would be cheating. i can say I filled all my jewels in an instant because the Sun emits so much energy. And there is no way for that spell. If thousands of generations of elves can't find the spell, it's almost impossible that you can. And Oromis said that there was no way you can do that.

And you can't stop a shield. If you read the whole book, you would know what I mean. In the end, if you can stop a shield, Eragon can win the battle with complete ease.

how about stop my shield? there's a difference. if you cant do that, then once you use the shield, you are dead it uses all of your energy.

that would mean the the shield is pointless. while it may shield you from atacks for a while, it would end up killing you anyways

i dont think you can just say "letta" to stop something. in Eldest, when there are arrows shot at him, Eragon says "letta" and then something else, which made the arrows stop. if he could just say "letta" why didnt he?

When you finish the book, you will understand the Letta part. And a shield is for when others attack him. Also, a shield is a temporary as it draws on your strength. For example, if you have a shield and an arrow hits your shield, your energy will be lessen by a little. You will understand if you finish reading the last chapters at the final battle.

so then you'll have the shield forever?

maybe a master at the ancient language could use this spell

you can have a shield forever if nothing ever comes within 15 feet of you. There are actually 2 ways to overcome a shield.
1. Think of a way that can bypass the shield without tripping it.
2. Attack the shield until you exaughst the enemy magician's energy supply.

you could use all of your energy doing that before your opponent does. plus, your opponent could attack you from inside his/her shield, so you would be getting hurt from that

1. Yes. This is what happened if you finished the book.
2. And you can get a shield too.
3. And there are other ways. If you're weaker than the enemy, you can cut the enemy to pieces or invade his/her mind before they eliminate your defense.

in the book, Eragon put wards on people. is that the kind of shield you mean?
