Any chance of an amd64 deb? Short of that, could you post a link to the 1.4 source code? Thanks!
UPDATE: I installed the i386 deb using dpkg --force architecture, and so far it seems to work. But of course it would be preferable to have an amd64 deb proper.

Glad this works well! I don't think an amd64 package is in the cards, sorry.
We've just released another alpha debian package, but we're still having a lot of trouble with the Squeak alsa plugin, so this one falls back to using OSS. See Known Issues for more information:

I will test it on DSL (Da** Small Linux)....just have to make the *.iso bootable, hold on........P.S.: Did you know that WinZip can open CD/DVD-ROM Images (iso)'s????

being a .deb package, it should be installable also under debian via dpkg, isn't it ?
