Actually, it was Paddle2See who stickied it after seeing my proposal to have the topic stickied. So the stickying thanks should go to him. ^^

I'm a bit fuzzy on that problem... I did what I could, but I'm not pleased with it.  hmm
Does anyone have ideas on how to make it better?

I think the section can be improved by writing out the whole error in the title: "Failed: Serialization: buffer too small for compressed data". If you want to go into specifics, that specific error is an upload error that occurs when there's nothing left to compress (all images and sounds are that their smallest size possible and cannot be compressed any further). Un-checking the small box upon uploading fixes the error automatically since you're not asking Scratch to compress anything.  smile

Probably because it's not a question that's been resolved  smile

Re: ITopic: Problems that have been resolved already

Many people spam and wonder what spam is when there told to stop spamming. (BTW i am only putting this here cause it is a trouble...) Spamming is: Basically commenting something that doesn't have to do with the project/forum. such as "waffles!" and "(link to project)" and yeah thats it.... XP

5. Variables go to the top-left corner
-suggested by mathematics

This one is irritating. You work on your project, place the variables in their positions, and save.

So far so good.

You then exit your project. When you return, you will find that the variables have lost their positions and have returned to their starting place.

It's frustrating, but there's a way around this! To stop it from happening, have your variables showing when you save. It may look a bit ugly, but it works, and your project will work fine.

Also when you save show them, and then when the flag's pressed hide them

You should add something about how normal words in comments on the Scratch website sometimes get caught by the filter when they shouldn't be.

Re: ITopic: Problems that have been resolved already

how about when sliders and large-readout variables switch to regular variables when you restart? it's the same solution as when the variables go to the top left corner. all you have to do is make them show. what i did was make a script that says <when green flag clicked> show variable _____ hide variable_____ and before you save you split the script so only the 'show variable' blocks are connected to the 'green flag clicked' block and then you click the script (to activate it) and when all the variables are showing you reconnect the script  (be sure not to click it) and save!
