technology is wonderful thing, especially when it fails
if you actually know what all this is your going to find this ridiculous
step 1: go to accessories and open up windows explorer (NOT THE INTERNET BROWSER)
step 2: go to your documents or a location you have access to
step 3: go to "file" then "new" and click on "shortcut"
step 4: in the text box on the new window type in this: C:\
step 5: click next and enter in some name for it
step 6: double click on your new shortcut and you just breached the security into the C-drive!
I can only guarantee that this works with computers at college park, but if the security software is the same it should work
if you know what command prompt is you can really have fun screwing with the computer by entering commands that do weird things, however this is one file that cannot be breached by this technique, but it may work at a different school so use this link if you want to try:
C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe
the link may be different on windows 2000 machines, I'll post the link when I get the chance

Who hasn't found out how to do something like this? All sensitive data on networks is still locked so its not like you can get into anything worth looking at. Looking at the C drive isn't a big deal anyways.
The way I used to do this is by right clicking the start button and hitting explore. My school had things locked down pretty decently so just trying to go to the C drive using a shortcut wouldn't work and the command prompt was locked.

What, did you just enter your first computer science class and the teacher told you about this? It's common knowledge.

I think it's pretty easy to access the C-drive if you know your way around a computer. Now getting into the fabled N-drive at my school... that's a tricky one.

I guess N-Drive is network drive if so then try mozilla (i dunno if that will work as My skool allows us to access everything in CS lab (CS = Computer Science) even they allow us to play Computer Games(once the given work is done)

My school has many drives some need passwords. I know what would be cool though if the teacher leaves the room with their account loged on and I swipe myself a copy of the program which controls the schools accounts.

You can try an old skool trick:
WORKS PERFECTLY ON WINDOWS XP,VISTA
Press Ctrl+alt+delete 2 times like
Ctrl + Alt + Delete + Delete
on the logon screen>> if the username anything other then administrator. type administrator in the username and leave the password box blank hit enter Whoa It will login.
Actually will cr8 a new user. Dont save anything as Ur user information and no one will even knew u loged in
I cant tell u other trick as it will be serious hacking and i oppose hacking.

I know that trick I tried it but it didn't work. The computer didn't go to the black screen.

I'm not sure how it might be with your school, but there's a simple way. You go into your home drive, H:, and then go up one directory. You should see a bunch of computer icons with numbers beside them, and then you go up one more, and it's this massive page with restricted links to every single person and teacher in the network. Only way to go into the folders though is to manually type the codes into an internet toolbar, or be an administator. It has all of the user numbers ever in the network (from 233-000-000 to 560-250-000, but it skips some numbers).

Isn't it the master server drive?
I found my way to get my print a highest priority at school. It really helps when the printers are stuck and your print is like 25th on the queue, and there's only 5 minutes left to the end of the break.

we actually have a remote server with 500gb of storage for every student at my school, fortunately I'm kind enough not to remotely shut it down and cause plenty of errors

Also you'd get expelled, so it's not really a matter of kindness.
