So, I've just started playing runescape again, I took a break for scratch. Anyway, I've got level 52 attack, 51 strength, and 40 defence, and I'm wondering where to train my attack and defence. I am currently non member, and proably will be untill I get 60 attack and 50 defence for granite armour and a dragon weapon. I could also use some tips on making money, I currently have about 1mil, but I might want to get a dragon 2handed sword. Thanks, and if you don't like runescape, please don't post here saying that.

Ok, I was just looking at the stats for the dragon spear, as it's cheap, poisionable, and requires no quests. So I was thing +55 in every stat, that's not really that good.... And then I looked at the bonuses and I saw that it has a +60 strength bonus. I'm pretty sure that's rally good. If so, then this is the weapon for me. I still want input of course, but I would have about 700k leftover, instead of having to earn more.

Generally, the best weapon of any metal is the scimitar, so you will want to use the highest level scimitar you can. Dragon spear is bad don't get it.

Once you get 60 attack get a dragon longsword and see if you can do monkey madness for the scimitar.

The absolute best weapon you can get is a abyssal whip at lv 70 attack.

If you are free to play then it doesn't matter too much where you train, the stronghold of security is good.

The best way to make money in f2p is runcrafting. Once your train it to level 50, you will be able to go to the Runecrafting Guild and play Great Orb Project. Once you get really good at GOP, you will start winning a decent amount of GOP tokens. Buy water talismans with the tokens, and you'll make money in a breeze. Each inventory is worth about 60-70k last I checked, and if you are really good at GOP, you will be able to buy 1-2 inventories per game.

Do Not Buy The Dragon Spear. Seriously. Unless you're fighting kalphite queen or something, don't buy it.

The dragon longsword is really a better weapon. You can hold a defender with it too! And it doesn't force you to train defense.

The dragon 2h sword is good for house parties (fighting area everyone spams d2h special without armor on for massive exp), but it's generally not a good weapon.

Best items you should get when member are dds, D Scim(Need quest), Amulet of Glory.
NO GRANITE ARMOUR. First, its a waste. Second, Rune Armor is WAY better and cheaper. Granite Maul is pretty good but when you get high stats use Obby Maul.

yeah, oh well. i dont really think i can beat a level 101 tree spirit, so im not really considering the d longsword. granite armor is still stronger then rune, so i kinda think its worth it. i would need, like 1100000 more gp to but the d 2h. so idk

The tree spirit is super easy. Just use the best fire spell possible and it will hit a lot. If you keep a full inventory of food you can't lose.

Good point. I'm only level 27 magic though. If I can beat the tree spirit, then I'm totally going to use the d longsword. What magic level do you reccomend?

Magic level is important to get high, it will be useful for all teleports and such, I recommend 40-50 magic level.

Also, I am just posting this randomly, get a range level of 40 or more. At 40, you will be able to wear a hide, I forgot what the name was, but it is great defense against anything.

What you are refering to, adriangl, is dragon hide. At level 40 range you can wear green dragon hide, lvl 50 you can wear blue dragon hide, and at level 60 you can wear red dragon hide. Also, dragon hide is decent against arrows, the best armor against magic, but sucks against all melee weapons.
