Would anyone be interested in a mesh tutorial?

After seeing lots of requests on the forums for mesh help I am considering making a video tutorial for mesh. I will only do this if enough people want something like this. It will probably guide the coder though making a simple pong game properly with mesh.

Hi, I am Archmage coder extraordinaire. I do Scratch, pascal, java, php, html, AS2 and AS3. Leave me a message if you want coding advice. Also check out my personal website, lots of good stuff about web development, Flash, and Scratch (v1 and v2) !

Yeah, that would be nice  smile

Do you think you could do it so when you're programming it, you use one computer? (Two Scratch Programs)

Also if you do it, will it be with BYOB, or with the Hack?

Yeah, I plan to do that. I am using a screen grabbing program so doing it with 2 pcs would be difficult.

Re: Would anyone be interested in a mesh tutorial?

Please do.I really only want to use mesh for multiplayer games, but I can't get a variable to be treated as a sensor value.

It would be cool to  have something like "Scratch Jr." as mesh, so you could actually make a project with someone.........

Re: Would anyone be interested in a mesh tutorial?

Scratch Jr with mesh seems possible. Instead of the list that contains the code blocks being stored locally it would be stored remotely and would update every time it detects a user changing it. It would kind of be like a multi-user art pad.

I asked a year ago and you said [no].

But... Yes! I still want one!  big_smile

I'm not interested because I already know how to use it.  tongue

A video tutorial might be good for those who do not, though.

Well at that time, mesh used only used by about 1% of users, so there wouldn't really be a point. Mesh is more accessible now

Last time I checked your tutorial was about enabling mesh, not about how to make anything with it. I won't even talk about how to enable it, I will just assume its already enabled.

I think it will be cool for new users, I already know how to use it however.

Maybe a multiplayer game tutorial? I think that would seem a bit more useful than Scratch Jr.

Re: Would anyone be interested in a mesh tutorial?

I never meant to say the tutorial was about making scratch jr a multiplayer game rather that it would be a cool thing to try. The tutorial will be making a multiplayer pong game.
