Hello!
I am a member of the WolfQuest communtity, and have noticed a few poor people cannot download the game. I want to show them a bit of the game by making it on Scratch and allowing a lot of the game play. But...
I need some help.
This is going to be the VERY FIRST WolfQuest Game on the Scratch site (I think, either that, or the most detailed) and I want it to be great!
THINGS I NEED HELP WITH:
1) There are 5 types of wolf coats. I made each of these a background on the wolf creation screen. I need to allow people to have the wolf in thier game the same as the wolf they have selected as a background.
2) I need to find out a way to make your mate have "Artificial Intelligence" and follow you automatically. I can't have your mate off in a corner as you hunt!
3) On the map of WQ (press M key) I need you to be in the same area as you are on the map.
4) I need their to be a way to save the game where you are and with what mate you have.
5) I need to find out how to allow more then one game to be saved.
It would help even more if some of you played/studied WolfQuest to help make this game.
Thanks for reading!

5) I need to find out how to allow more then one game to be saved.
1) Use a variable, which is set when you select the background. Have the costume(s) of your character be selected according to that variable.
2) There are many ways to make AI, but here's a basic script which you could use to make the mate follow you:
You can try using more "if"s to make the mate do other things, like helping you hunt, etc.
3) I don't think I can do that, it's possible but I don't know how to make it.
4) Try using passwords or lists (you can import/export lists, use a button to set certain variables according to the lists' elements)
5) The methods above let you save infinite games.

Thanks! But a quick question:
1) How do I make that kind of variable?
I have also found a way to make the map acorrding to where you are, so no need to answer that.
I will check out that password link for help, too.
Thanks! If I need any more help, I'll let you know!

It's something like this I think:

It is a game on www.wolfquest.org you can download. But some people can't download it, so I am making an online version. It will take a lot of time and work, but I hope Scrachers and players of WQ like it!

From what I see on the website, this is a 3D Games, which won't be possible in Scratch. But you could make a top-down version of the game. But I see that you probably already understand that.
If you ever want to make this Multiplayer, I spend most of my time working on networking features and other items like that. So I could help you work with that.
Also, I would like to see updates when you make this. Mind contacting me every time you post an update? Thanks!

Wow! another player, I pressume?
I know, I can't make it COMPLETELY 3D. But their have been games that has working 3D sprites, but take MONTHS!
I would LOVE some help with multiplayer! At first, I was going to ask WQ players on Scratch for their forum users and make their wolves have AI somehow (before technoguyx helped out). But that would be awesome! More and REAL players!

maybe this should be moved to collaberation?

I will begin in single player mode, but I will only be making the AM this time around. I want to learn and play with AI on Scracth so I can make pups and predators. And I need to master a few more things to do that.

1) There are 5 types of wolf coats. I made each of these a background on the wolf creation screen. I need to allow people to have the wolf in thier game the same as the wolf they have selected as a background.
My answer: You save it to a list or a variable, then use an if block to decide what it'll look like.
2) I need to find out a way to make your mate have "Artificial Intelligence" and follow you automatically. I can't have your mate off in a corner as you hunt!
My answer: Go look around for the AI Totourials, i think Paddeltosee has a gallery of them.
3) On the map of WQ (press M key) I need you to be in the same area as you are on the map.
My answer: That can easily be done with two variables (X and Y) if its a scroller, if its not then just use one to change depending on where you are.
4) I need their to be a way to save the game where you are and with what mate you have.
My answer: Simple, but only able to do on an offline project.
two ways around this:
Use a code that your give out everytime someone saves which is consisted of several letters/numbers which are decoded when given back to be things which are important such as looks, where you are and what your mates like.
Or
Just use a list to save it (Only available on offline projects)
5) I need to find out how to allow more then one game to be saved.
Simple, you just have mutiple codes or lists.

It's good and free, but glitchy.
You press the up key to move, and use the mouse to move.

Please stop discussing the real game. I just need help making this one! Do not steal my topic just to discuss it!
If you want help, post a help topic in the collaberation forum, you'll get more chance of people willing to help there.

WolfQuest is free (I just accidentally downloaded it onto my school's computer). How can some people not afford it?
Offline
The system requirements. I can't run it because my computer is to outdated. That's why.

Some people aren't able to download it. It is free.
I was also thinking of making one for a game called Impressive Title, but I have changed my mind on that one. One project is enough!

Yeah, I only have one project too.
