Thanks to mathwiz,we now have a wonderful tool called mesh that allows people to play multi-player games on seperate computers(you need to download the projects, though). This has started games like this one, made by RHY375467(or something like that)http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/RHY3756547/864408 (this project includes instructions on linking computers and a link to mathwiz's tutorial) .The only problem is,I don't have anyone that would voluntarily play!Solve this by posting your IP address here.As far as I know,no personal info can be gained this way,but if you are reluctant to then I understand.Anyway, mine is 192.680.0.100 .Now post yours! Feel free to ask someone to play,as long as you have a game in mind and the game's link.
DON'T POST YOUR IPS!!!!!!MESH IS NOT MALWARE!!!!

I'm not posting my IP. You can get hacked by your IP. Worst of all, it can also show someone exactly where you are.
Not exactly where, just the last place it goes to before it goes to your house.

There is: Log in at school, the network IP's only go as far as the board, and not where the actual school is, so you might be hidden.

If you stop sharing mesh before starting another, your ip address stays the same.(I may b wrong)

Well have fun...but just be aware that when you give out your IP, you are potentially sharing information that reveals your location down to the city level and possibly finer, depending on how your internet connection is set up. If you (and your parents, if you are not an adult) are comfortable with that then there's no problem

Tru tru
U can also be potentially Virused with ur IP address . CUZ someone || Professional Hacker|| can browse ur CPU with that
And iP adressess are dynamic so there is no point on giving the IP address untill u know that the other man is online and ready to play

Any IP address starting with 10.0 or 192.168 is a local IP address and will not work for mesh online.

Yesh. Yesh rhymes with mesh.

Mesh IP's are different than normal IP's.
My mesh IP is: 192.168.1.2
Whereas my normal IP is completely different: 69.***.***.** (I starred the rest 2 be safe)
so, is giving your mesh IP really that dangerous?
I think not

The IP mesh gives you, is the IP inside your local network.
If your pc is directly connected to the internet, without a router, then there is no internal ip and it gives you your outside ip.
So basically, your house has an ip, and all pc's in your house have an internal PC.
You know, you're sharing your ip with every single site you visit. And also with the ads on that site. Sharing ip's isn't dangerous in my opinion.
And you are also sharing your referrer (!) the site that pointed you to the site you visit. Now that is creepy. A lot of adbots use it to give you ads that fit your personal browsing profile.
Let's take the imaginary adbot aDanger as an example
aDanger is huge and controls ad spots on thousands of websites. Once you visit a site about cookies with an ad by aDanger, it adds the site you are one and the site you previously visited (howtobakedeliciousmuffins.com) to their database. The next time you visit a site that has an aDanger ad on it, it might show you an ad about cake. It actually keeps parts of your browsing history. This is a list with most tracking adBots around:
http://spyware-removal.thrcomputer.com/tracking-cookie.html
So once you start to see a lot of programming tools in your ads on sites, you know what's going on

mesh only works with people on your same LAN (local access network). and beyond that, you would have to be insane to give you your computer's IP (internet protocol) address on an open web forum. if you did, you would probably get a virus inside of an hour.

Offline
It's not the same.
First, get your mesh IP
Now, go to whatismyip.com. You'll notice they're completely different.
Giving out the second one is dangerous, not your mesh IP. But since it's actually your local IP address it won't do much good for people far away.
