What can you possibly do by going into Scratch's Source?

Lately you've probably seen MathWizz's new project, how to activate mesh. Well I notice that you can do other stuff in the source. Has anybody actually gone into it, and created their own blocks or anything?

Search for any Squeak tutorials on the web and there are endless opportunities. You can modify Scratch, make your own, working, blocks, or anything  big_smile

For me, smalltalk is like some COBOL descendant, I mean, how possibly you could program using arrows, pointless punctuation and this weird naming? I mean, I know how to add blocks (this is simple, BTW), but to make them actually do something?
