Today, I am using an on-screen keyboard, because of my gramma's tea. She was sitting at the computer spilled tea ALL over the keyboard and she tryed to get away without telling my dad! Jeez, it already took me 7 minutes to type this! Anyway, I was to tell you how to get it:
Windows users:
Step 1:go to the Start button
Step 2:Click on All Programs
Step 3:Click on Accessories
Step 4:Click on Accessibility
Step 5:Click on On-Screen Keyboard
Step 6:You can click on Settings in the Keyboard to always make sure the keyboard is on top when you are typing
Step 7:You can now click with your mouse all the letters you need to type.
Mac Users:
Step 1:Go to the System Preferences panel.
Step 2:Select the “International” icon
Step 3:Go to the “Input Menu” tab
Step 4:Select the “Keyboard Viewer”
Step 5:You now should have an American flag in your menu bar. Click on the American flag and select “Show Keyboard Viewer”
Step 6:You now should have a keyboard on your desktop that displays whatever your press on your keyboard. (I'm not sure if it helps you, though.)
Ta-da! You learn something new everyday, huh?

Cool. But it probably takes a lot longer to type, assuming you're a fast typer...

For vista and up just go into the Tablet PC Input panel. You can do handwriting and typing.

Lol, I never thought anyone would actually use the on screen keyboard. It takes forever to type anything. I had to at school once when someone pulled off al of the keys on my keyboard.

I used to use the onscreen keyboard. My tablet and my (not working) scanner take up most of my desk, so my keyboard stays on the floor a lot. I'm typing this on my lap - as I have learnt to do now. XP doesn't have handwriting recognition (I could download it into OneNote (which claims to come pre-installed with handwriting recognition), but it takes FOREVAAAAAAR) so I can't handwrite. Which is why I got a tablet in the first place - so that I could handwrite things.

Speech recognition is so fun to play with! You can say the names of punctuations and it will type it!

Sadly you can't really find complete voice recognition software for Ubuntu.

Actually not, because if the water gets into the circuits of the keyboard, then the keys are useless. Not just the plastic button.

Just call it what it was your skin and eyes glacier and 'cause it was entered in a linked recognition to dictate what
(I was trying to say "this post was entered using speech recognition")

I like how you tell Mac users how to access it too

yeah, there are a lot of bored people at my school who like to vandalize stuff, so all the keyboards are broken in one of the computer rooms. i couldnt push the buttons under the keys actually, they were really buried. i just borrowed my friends keyboard and logged in with it, and then used the onscreen keyboard.

My Kaspersky has a virtual keyboard. ^^

now I am using handwriting recognition. It is very entertaining, but can sometimes be hard to work with. It recognizes punctuation well though.

Okay, I'm trying this out... it's weird, but not so bad (maybe because I touch-type, so I know where all the keys are).
