This is, in my opinion the best thing I have ever programmed in scratch.
My little brother and I created this game in about 2 weeks and I think it turned out pretty well.
My brother did all the level design and I did all of the programming.
Have fun playing it!

Well, it is kinda plain( I mean when you are walking through the stage nothing much happens), you can easily dodge enemies, and after 1 hit you immidiatly have to go to the last checkpoint. That is all I have to say about that game.

What, is there nothing good to say about the game?
Well, this IS scratch and scratch isn't capable of a lot of fancy stuff you usually see in platformer games. If I were programming something like this in flash I would have loads of animated backgrounds loads of enemies (using dynamic sprite creation) and special effects like smoke, particles, ect. The game's first level is pretty easy, I agree but just try beating the boss at the end of the game.
Well, by scratch standards I would have to say this game is pretty awesome and I still consider it to be the best platformer on the site

I personally thought the game was really good. You might think it is easy but I couldn't beat it (until I downloaded it). Nice job!

Thanks for the complement
If you think the game was too hard if you download it there is a level skipping code in the flag sprite, I labeled it with a say block

cool game i liked the knight but they wasn't enough emanys(or whatever they called) to fight.i also have a platformer engine that almost same as your sprite movement.
I didn't put too many enemies in because I didn't want the game to lag.
Also, my platforming engine is very different from yours. Your's is not capable of scrolling more than 2 sprites.

Well I am not insulting your game just it is a bit plain. Though I never said it wasn't the best platformer game on the site. It it probably the best I have seen. say, "flash"? What is that. I heard of Java and Mcfee and adobe flash player but what is flash. It does ring the bell, but have you made any flash games, if so, can you make a link to the website with it, and do you have your own website?

Programs that run on abode flash player are made with a program called Adobe Flash.
You can download the 30 day free trial @ http://www.click-now.net/download/Macromedia_Flash.htm
Find some of my flash stuff @ http://archmage-flash.newgrounds.com/
None of it is that great but I am working on something better.
And no I don't have my own website site. They are too much trouble to build and maintain.

I am sure you can find other flash sites on the web. Although they won't accept if it is not up to par. Even newgrounds deletes bad flashes. Addictinggames.com is one example of such a site.
Or better yet you can put links to your flash work in your forum signature.

Ya I know that. My friend, I remember I think a year ago, got a TotW on newgrounds, Lol.

Awesome game! Very well programmed. I have been thinking of doing a side-scrolling game like this on Scratch and you proved that it is very possible.

I have started programming a flash version of Archknight's Adventure. This one will be called "The Knight's Adventure".
Anyways, I need some one to test it for me. I want to know if the game lags on anyone's computer. It would also be great if you could report bugs in the player sprite's movement engine. If you see your character doing any weird movement that doesn't make sense let me know.

Honestly, compared to my game, Archknight is the best!

Well, if you want to make a game like "archknight's adventure" you could always download the project and change up the levels and the sprites.

archmage, without people like you, no one would know what it means to be a scratcr.
