3 weeks-ish ago, the government (or whoever runs my school's filters) blocked the Scracth Website as "unmonitored media sharing".
After my school's admin sent in 4 requests, the website was finally un-blocked, but I just noticed that it mentions hardly anywhere on the site that projects, posts. galleries etc: are monitored, and deleted if innapropriate.
Could you possibly mention in the Terms Of Use or Privacy policy that the website is indeed monitored. I don't know if anyone else has had this, but it might be useful so this doesn't happen again in the future .

This would be helpful.
I think the terms of service REALLY needs to be improved. I am now no longer to create new accounts (not that I care, but it doesn't seem right) because 6 months ago, I created an account called paddIe2see. Apparently, this is disrespect, but I don't see how it is because I have not used it to give false information.

That's bad.

Wow - first off, thanks for letting us know about this situation! We really want Scratch to be used in schools, so it's helpful to hear about things that might get in the way of that. I'm not sure about putting info about monitoring in the TOU (we try really really hard to keep that super brief and concise, so that people's eyes won't glaze over when they read it). But there is already some information about inappropriate content that mentions monitoring / flagging in our FAQ. Check it out and see what you think:

Maybe we can mention that the site is monitored somewhere else as well. Where do you think school admins would look for that kind of thing first? Maybe the TOU... hmm....

Scratch has an FAQ?
I've never noticed that, but you kinda have to go looking for it if you actually want to find it .
I also noticed the TOU was just updated (at least i think it was?).
It makes things a bit clearer now, thanks ^^

I definitely doesn't just say that. When you attempt to make a new account, assuming you've made account before, it will say something like this computer/network has already created other accounts. It will then warn you this:
Please note that creating multiple accounts can lead to blocking of your computer or network if they are used to post inappropriate content, harass others, avoid a block on another account or try to trick the system to get to front page.
