Re: A Basic "Meme"

What is the most important word in Scratch's motto, in your opinion?
Imagine, because you can go far with that.

How long have you been a member?
Almost two years... I joined in early March, 2008.

What makes you active on Scratch?
At first it was using the program. I would make lots of projects, usually games. It was satisfying, but around the middle of 2009 I began using the forums. They were fun, and I started interacting more with the community rather than just programming.

What would you like to see change on Scratch?
The arguments and such. There are some threads shouting at other users, and some complaining about the front page. I'd like to have more complex projects on the front page, and have inspiring remix projects in the Top Remixed. But it doesn't bother me much... except when a deserving project gets overshadowed.

How do you want Scratch to remember you?
Being an active member of the community that helped other users. Being a celebrity is of far less importance...

I fall: It's a tragedy. You fall: It's comedy.
Hmph enjoy your fall - I get a lovely spring... without pans of new leaves.

Re: A Basic "Meme"

What is the most important word in Scratch's motto, in your opinion?:
Imagine and program are equal in importance to me.

How long have you been a member? (years are just fine)
1 year and 6 months.

What makes you active on Scratch?
On the Scratch site, Mostly the forums and checking my messages to see what people have to say about my projects. On Scratch the program, I love trying to think of new  AI/physics projects to make.

What would you like to see change on Scratch?
Some of the more complex games run slow online, I wish they could somehow run faster.

How do you want Scratch to remember you? I guess as a good programmer, and helpful.

Re: A Basic "Meme"

What is the most important word in Scratch's motto, in your opinion?

Program. Most of the site seems to ignore it. Also a bit of share.

How long have you been a member? (years are just fine)

3/4 months.

What makes you active on Scratch?

The community and making projects when I'm bored (which is a lot) and free.

What would you like to see change on Scratch?

Better programs by users so I can LEARN something cool, and a faster Java player.

How do you want Scratch to remember you?

That guy with the shiny projects.

Thanks for your time.

What is the most important word in Scratch's motto, in your opinion?-Program
How long have you been a member? (years are just fine)-A year and 7 months
What makes you active on Scratch?- I come on every day just to see what's going on in the forums, if there's anything I like to talk about. I don't make many projects though because I don't get ideas easily.
What would you like to see change on Scratch?- I want unknown users to get their good projects recognized by the community so the same people aren't always on the front page.
How do you want Scratch to remember you?-I want to be remembered for making good projects and usually being on-topic in forum posts, as well as my good grammer and overall smartocity.

What is the most important word in Scratch's motto, in your opinion?
A: All are equal

How long have you been a member? (years are just fine)
A: Way too long

What makes you active on Scratch?
A: I like the forums. Kinda of sick of making projects and uploading them now.

What would you like to see change on Scratch?
A: For the program, all the obvious improvements that are often requested in the suggestions forum. For the website, make more learning resources and try to get people to move towards making better projects rather than social ones.

How do you want Scratch to remember you?
A: It really doesn't matter too much to me. I just kinda liked scratch.

Re: A Basic "Meme"

Q: What is the most important word in Scratch's motto, in your opinion?
A: Imagine. Or program.

Q: How long have you been a member? (years are just fine)
A: A year and 6 months.

Q: What makes you active on Scratch?
A: The forums, which sometimes give me ideas to make games.

Q: What would you like to see change on Scratch?
A: Make it faster, faster, fastahfastahfastah. Get some good stuff on the frontpage. Make Scratch support instances, sprite duplication, etc. And more maturity among the community is needed. I would have a whole list here, but it would exceed the 65535 character limit.

Q: How do you want Scratch to remember you?
A: For being that sarcastic guy who made games and hung out at the forums a lot.

Re: A Basic "Meme"

What is the most important word in Scratch's motto, in your opinion?

Imagine:Well, you gotta imagine things to program and share!

Program:Many people are ignoring this-including (sometimes) me. I just get bored and do simple projects.

Share:Many people are ignoring this, also. They're saying:"Hey! You thief! I didn't say you could use my art!" and "I hate you! You used my scripts without me telling you you can!" and also, "We should have a locking downloads button. I don't want people stealing my art!" That stuff. Solutions:
1st accusation:"Guys, Scratch is about sharing! Remember? Imagine, Program, Share."
"But they stole it!"
"They didn't legally steal it; it didn't have a legal copyright, it wasn't a trademark, it was not recognized by the government. So they didn't really steal it, though they should have asked before they used it."(this goes for accusation #2, also.)

Suggestion:Scratch is about sharing! Also, they don't really steal your art. It didn't have a legal copyright, it wasn't a trademark, it was not recognized by the government, so they did not really steal it.

How long have you been a member? (years are just fine)

A year and a few days  big_smile

What makes you active on Scratch?

Forums. Problems. The community.

What would you like to see change on Scratch?

The ATTITUDE! People are being so MEAN nowadays! When I joined Scratch(I was 8) it was a nice community! Now all people do is comment mean stuff, like "This
project  su cks. Delete it!" Instead of "Pretty good, but it needs more_____ and this bug/glitch should be fixed by doing ________." Pretty bad, eh?

How do you want Scratch to remember you?

The Helpful One. I'm always up to help! (as long as I'm not grounded. XD)
