I had an idea like that, except it would change every hour or so.

It's called newest members and recent visitors.

Thats not what I mean.  hmm  I mean for those great Scratchers who are good to the community and work hard on their projects, and when a project that the worked on for a long time comes out good and they submit it, they would not brag.  smile

Hey... did everyone forget about the curators? They're there for the unnoticed projects! And that gives fame, of course...

Where would we put it though? The front page is already really quite crowded. :\

I'll make a visualization. I know exactly where to put it.  smile

yea. who goes down there? maybe we could put something like "Featured Scratcher" and then show three of their projects, maybe their 3 latest, kinda like Curator but instead of faves, it's projects created by them. Please consider.

Scratch should have an award show every year where if you do some incredible scripting on a project you win one

Oh yeah and archmage and RHY and all those other good programmers who constantly appear on the front page would get even more famous then.

He's pretty nice & works hard on his projects. Never gives up. Perseverance. He never lies to me. Is honest when he doesn't work hard on the project. Integrity.

If it was random though, than some person who doesn't even know how to USE Scratch could show up. D:

Do some random promotional stunt. It helps.

Yeah, right. Would the Scratch Team feature people that already have enough fame? Think a little.

Re: Too many great Scratchers go unnoticed...

Love the idea, maybe it could just be like Recent Visitors, but remove recent visitors, i dont see the point in it. and have Featured Scratchers or Scratcher of the Week.

Or you could let scratchers get famous by themselves. But that takes at least months ^.^"

One way to end up being noticed is to post a lot on the forums, rub it in FPT's face, and watch your projects get flamed.
