Hey happy_panda, welcome to the Scratch Forums! And no worries, you posted in the right place!
The Scratch website is used for sharing projects designed using the Scratch programing language (you can see some of them on the front page by clicking the image thumbnails). The programming code is designed by dragging and snapping blocks together. Using Scratch is a great way to combine artistic and programming skill together; you show some great artistic skill, so I bet you can combine your artistic skill with some programming creativity to create some very interesting projects.
it seems you're new to working with Scratch, so here are some tools that may help you out getting started in Scratch:

Hi! I've been on Scratch for a few years, but I think the problem is that you can't take projects(unless they are photos) from other programming languages and put them on Scratch. Unless, of course, you're awesome at hacking and hacked into scratch to put it in there. Welcome to the world of Scratch!!! Keep on Scratch'ing!!!

Hi there! Welcome to the world of Scratch.
People upload their Scratch projects, using the Scratch program to make them. These projects have a wide range, from pretend operating systems to animations and movies.

Welcome to scratch! Some people above might have suggested to you to watch certin projects on how to learn Scratch. I strongly disagree. In my opinion, nobody is born as a Scratch pro (except for the creators). It comes to people naturally. Just mess around with Scratch on your own, and eventually you learn Scratch, and start to speak it fluently, like I speak Latin (okay, maybe I'm not a Latin expert, but I have spent the last five months learning). Just wait, and the wonderful language of Scratch will come to you.

Welcome to scratch! I agree with aweman, you should play around with scratch a little and decide what projects you want to make! I really hope you have as much fun on scratch as I do!

I love the picture. In Scratch, you can share stories, art, stimulations, games, animations, music, and more. Snapping blocks together can make slideshows, programs, or a short demonstration of a scientific law. It's up to you. I recommend some of Scratch's tutorials to get to know your way around.
