Hmm, how recent do project have to be to hit the front page? I have a suggestion (goch's ASCII project) but it's four days old... is that too old to hit the front page?
How I wish I had a deserving project, that is recent of mine's could be on the front page. *sigh* A girl can dream...A girl can dream... Well, none of the projects that I'm proud of myself for, would anybody else like either.
Agreed. Only thing is, my tests and random 5-minute things, such as my latest project, get views far faster than projects that I have worked a long time on

Anyways, this project seems to have had it's front page permissions removed... Can the scratch team do that?
In terms of manual control of the front page, I do know that the Scratch Team has the ability to mark projects as "not for everyone" (that is, projects with content that is okay in terms of US media but not emphasized by the Scratch Team), and these "not for everyone" projects can never hit the front page. But that's as far as I know about any form of manual control of the front page.

WOW. Is there a way to find out if your project is marked as "not for everyone"?

No idea, but I'm guessing there is none. But you're interested more about this and the Scratch Team's approach to projects with questionable content, you can read andresmh's comment here.

So my project can still become front page or whatever if it does so in 3 days?
Anyways, why do so much people care about fame so much? I mean I can understand wanting my project be on the front page because I spent like 3 hours in front of the computer trying to make it work, but it's not really something you should get angry over if someone else gets it.

If you're annoyed, I believe you can flag it. IF WE ALL FLAG IT IT WILL BE GONE

I don't think that seeing this sort of project on the front page is going to encourage new users to sign up - they'll just think that Scratch isn't very friendly. I thought the Scratch Team carefully checked what went on the front page, to see how appropriate it was. I think they should check how well it represents the Scratch Community as well, because I certainly wouldn't have joined up if there were things like that on the front page when I joined.
I agree...I don't think the "I Quit" projects are a good reflection on Scratch or the Scratch Community. Unfortunately, the Top Viewed and Top Loved categories are automatic...if people View and/or Love projects a lot, they are going to show up on the front page - unless a Scratch Team member reviews it and decides that it should not be there. However, there are so many projects that the team does not usually see them *until* they show up on the front page, unless they are flagged.

i think it should be removed.
it seemed be trying to make people think the scratch team is mean, and unfair. even read it your self.
so i flagged it (i thought it was a good reason...)

What if you created a notice system that alerts the team whenever a project has the word "quit" in it? Like some sort of key word search.
