I know. There shouldn't even be any "I Quit" projects.
If you're going to quit, keep it to yourself and see if anyone notices that you're gone. Chances are 7/10 no one will notice, no matter how famous you are.
Much funnier that way

Bluestribute announced it but he didn't make a big deal about it.

I usually avoid looking at any project like that; I saw the front page screenshot; that's enough. I can't believe that project made Top Viewed. That person has had no big impact on the Scratch community. They haven't even quit; they've uploaded three more projects than this supposed quitting project, one of them even celebrating the fact that that awful project got 3rd Top Viewed. The front page is now officially a farce.

This really upsets me-
1. Who the heck is this person?
2. I Quit projects should be deleted because they are for publicity
3. The person replies to every comment, obviously hasn't quit
4. It make me personally angry because not many of my projects make it there, not even the ones that are good

The problem of the "I Quit!" project hitting the front page might help if you just posted a screenshot of the project instead of using a link to direct everyone to it.
Now... we just have to get Scratchers to swarm over to a new project that deserves the front page... anyone has a suggestion to give?

At least it doesn't happen every day.

I'll think about it.

Hmm, how recent do project have to be to hit the front page? I have a suggestion (goch's ASCII project) but it's four days old... is that too old to hit the front page?

It's your fault.
You posted a link.
(jk, this is really making me angry)

It seems to be some kind of sick joke (or conspiracy) involving all new scratchers that are somehow all in contact with each other viewing only random projects.

I know... so annoying when that happens. -_-"

I don't think that seeing this sort of project on the front page is going to encourage new users to sign up - they'll just think that Scratch isn't very friendly. I thought the Scratch Team carefully checked what went on the front page, to see how appropriate it was. I think they should check how well it represents the Scratch Community as well, because I certainly wouldn't have joined up if there were things like that on the front page when I joined.

Projects are unable to stay on the front page after 10 days I think...

Anyways, this project seems to have had it's front page permissions removed... Can the scratch team do that?

Scratch doesn't seem to be as much about programming anymore as it is about being dramatic so people will view their stuff. Though there is a way this can be avoided. About half of those comments were like "blah blah, another I quit project, this is stupid, I'm sick of this, yadayadayada". If those people don't look at the project just to say it's bad (which it is), it doesn't make front page. Did I explain that well?

How I wish I had a deserving project, that is recent of mine's could be on the front page. *sigh* A girl can dream...A girl can dream... Well, none of the projects that I'm proud of myself for, would anybody else like either.
