If Scratch is free, why do they need so much money from Scratchers? If Scratch is free, shouldn't the events be/almost be?

its not that bad for a conference lol  i think it may be average conference price, iy might be alot less though.

It depends. But I've paid a lot less (around $60 to $150) for some conferences. $275 and $375 are out of my price range. Add in travel fees and possibly visiting accomodations and it becomes a bit of a pricey trip.

Definately. Paying a bit, like you mentioned, is an ok, but it's quite a lot in that situation.

Maybe they know that everybody wants to go, so when theres high demand, and small quantity, the price goes up
