Seventeenth through nineteenth century (classical music :3).

Some nineteenth century composers are also really awesome, though. :-D

Re: best years for music?

Don't really have a specific preference. my Music sometimes goes from shuffle from Bon Jovi to Nirvana to Paramore at any random time.
I think the 80's produced some of the most memorable songs of all time though.

yeah coldplay's really good too, and they are sort of an alternative genre, right?

U2 IS FREAKING AMAZING! i have 2 of their albums that i have never listened to but i had my music library on shuffle yesterday and started listening to them and THEY ARE AWESOME! and they are definately mainstream fantasytales. they are like the biggest band in the world at the moment, i think.

Re: best years for music?

(Quadruple post  tongue )

Well it's kind of a mix.

When I feel like listening less loud and peaceful then:

1479 - 1943

Yeah, classical music.

But, at certain times I feel like listening to jazz, so then.

1937-1954

Most of the time, however, I like rock, so...

1957-1989

Yeah... I like some modern stuff, though, I just can't make them right now  tongue
