Question about Scratch - Servers.

I am new and I was wondering if after you make a game with Scratch is is automatically multiplayer? If not how can I use a Smart Fox Server to make my game so that people from anywhere can be on the game at the same time and see eachother playing in other words a multiplay game? Thanks alot everyone I appriciate all of your feedback!

Have a look at BYOB's mesh feature- you can make online games with limited players

But I have also heard of something harder called MMO To Go...

Re: Question about Scratch - Servers.

Normally it's impossible, but with Build Your Own Blocks (see this topic) there is a feature called Mesh, where you can interact with another person. This isn't exactly multiplayer stuff, but let's put it like this: Two computers, both with Scratch up, can play a project together. The two Scratch programs will interact; say, if one of the Scratch programs broadcasted something, the other Scratch program could receive that broadcast.

Re: Question about Scratch - Servers.

Multiplayer isn't automatic, but if you go to "sensing" ( where the < if [space] pressed > block is ) and right-click ( [slider] value sensor ) and select "enable sensor remote connections". The Scratch Connections Wiki ( http://scratchconnections.wik.is/ ) there you can learn how to use the network features in Scratch. Mesh is something else you can use to connect Scratch to another Scratch Application.

Re: Question about Scratch - Servers.

if you enable mesh, you can create a two player game. Ask "MathWizz" to find out how to enable mesh. it is very hard.

I am making a project that will allow multiplayer games http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic … 14#p310714

The glass is never half full nor half empty; it is twice as large as it needs to be.
