The other team doesn't seem too amazing, but trust me, if they WANT to draw well, they can.

wait is raspberrystrudel a group of people, then?

Yes, they have Moeka*, Keychain, Kumi-Ji, and Axelkitty.

I have no idea who is the best - because there isn't one!  tongue  So we might as well talk about the best work of art.

My favorite work of art I've seen is MyRedNeptune's Hawktalon. I first saw it a while ago but it still blows me away... it's so beautiful. And the detail and shading is brilliant. There's an interesting background as well.

There's another work of art by Neptune here, but I prefer the first one. This one's quite romantic though.

That's a WOTF one, isn't it?  tongue

I'd like to think I'm good at art, this is one of my pieces. It's big though, so the whole thing might not come through.......

Yeah, its great! I can tell its digital though. I dont like digital art that much, because I think real art takes more skill, but the cat is still amazing~!

Thanks. I am better at traditional, but I like digital because you can get awesome shades of color and such.

I've drawn better though.

Best artist? Me - obviously. >;D

I can't see those projects without logging off from the forums and website because of my account ban. It'd be nice if the ban only disabled member features and not site access.

Webgal15 - I'm not going to compare you to a professional, since you're still too young to start learning to draw professionally.... Nonetheless, I can say that you draw better than a lot of people your age. I noticed that most of your drawings are drawings of people. If you're looking forward to becoming a good artist, you should try drawing more various stuff, like animals. :3

Tonks - lol, you should draw OWLIEEEEEEE >8D

http://i52.tinypic.com/5es7t0.png I know what you're thinking! "Neptune! Get rid of those filthy advertisements and give us back the Zarathustra siggy, you horrible person!" Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Re: the best artists on Scratch

Now let's all remember being a good artist does not relate directly to drawing ability.

I mean imagine putting Miro in this kind of critique. What are half of his pieces supposed to be anyway?

Art is not about being exact. It's about accomplishment.

Let's stick to the widespread definition though. xD

That is an excellent point. When I made the topic I was talking more about drawing-related art, that is widely used on Scratch.

Re: the best artists on Scratch

Art art art ^^

Oh, how I love to say that!

I think this whole world is a big, colourful painting. We're like the little paint brushes feebling splattering around the edges. We add a little colour, but nothing can truely compare to the whole wonderfulness of it all  big_smile

As for the best artist, I don't know. This is where it gets a bit confusing...

If we are art ourselves, then can art create itself?

Yikes, I think I've muddled myself up with all these ridiculous metaphors.

I just think it's awesome, being able to express ourselves in such a simple way as drawing what we see in our minds eye. It's such a great way to really get across to others how you feel, or how a certain character feels.

Joop joop  big_smile

To me, art is pure beauty...But what people call 'bad art' isn't art then. Because it's not beauty, no offence to those - everybody can improve alot.
