the best artists on Scratch

Who, in your opinion, are the best artists on Scratch? And I know there are people like MRN and nikki, but what about those lesser-known people?

Re: the best artists on Scratch

Moeka* from raspberrystrudel. Needs more recognition. Even mahoashley considered that the raspberrystrudel team drew better than her. Here is one project by Moeka*:

The other team doesn't seem too amazing, but trust me, if they WANT to draw well, they can.

Yeah, I almost never use sprites that aren't mine.

The only times I remember  taht I used sprites that aren't mine are once in Pocket-God (I used a Godzilla sprite)  and in my Stick Die series, which aren't all that good.

Re: the best artists on Scratch

Well, all artists are different, you know. You can't really say which one is better, but here is some rational criticism on some Scratch artists. ^^

..........I say rational because I'm an artist myself and I know what I'm saying, and I can draw on the same level as any of the artists below. >.> So don't worry, my criticism isn't faulty. :3

Hmmm... well, Moeka (raspberrystrudel) has a great and powerful drawing program and is skilled with the tablet, which makes her drawings look good. She has great lineart and nice coloring. But her anatomy and shading skills are bleh. >.>

Tarrasic is great at anatomy and is one of the few people on Scratch who knows the use in blending modes, and has nice composition and great colors and style, but doesn't bother to shade much (although I'm pretty sure she's a nice shader). xP

Boopaloo has a unique style, is good at people and anatomy. Overall her drawings have a little of everything and are quite average. The good thing about them is that she doesn't make a lot of mistakes. ^^

Me..... xD I lack the equipment needed to draw on the computer properly and am not skilled with professional programs because, well.... I never use them. xD It's impossible to use them without a tablet anyways. >.> So all my drawings you see uploaded on Scratch are very, very bad. xD

I'd say that I most respect Tarrasic among all the artists on Scratch. I can review others if you want btw. xD

http://i52.tinypic.com/5es7t0.png I know what you're thinking! "Neptune! Get rid of those filthy advertisements and give us back the Zarathustra siggy, you horrible person!" Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Re: the best artists on Scratch

Well, take in consideration of the popularity. I had no idea tarrasic could draw that well. Age(older age, more time to learn), and learning(Takes art classes?) counts too.

Re: the best artists on Scratch

I have no idea who is the best - because there isn't one!  tongue  So we might as well talk about the best work of art.

My favorite work of art I've seen is MyRedNeptune's Hawktalon. I first saw it a while ago but it still blows me away... it's so beautiful. And the detail and shading is brilliant. There's an interesting background as well.

There's another work of art by Neptune here, but I prefer the first one. This one's quite romantic though.
