What will the 2000s be remembered by?

Since this decade is coming to an end and the '10s not far away, what do you think we'll remember 2000-2009 by?

I think:
• Scratch  tongue
• Pop music takes over
• Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo competing in the console war
• H1N1
• Computer technology improves, with internet connections becoming standard
• Sparkly vampires become disturbingly coveted by teenage fangirls

What else will there be to remember this decade by?

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Lots and lots of world disasters... a month or so ago, there'd be a massive earthquake (and tidal wave) every week.

Hmph enjoy your fall - I get a lovely spring... without pans of new leaves.

Re: What will the 2000s be remembered by?

Ok, SOMEONE said 9/11. I was getting worried of how little people knew it... I actually saw an article in a magazine: 2000- The Decade from hell.

And they gave something bad that happened each year. The only ones I can remember off the top of my head are Bush being elected, Bush being reelected, and 9/11.

Re: What will the 2000s be remembered by?

Sports wise, I think the decade will be remembered for a lot of things. Here's a list.
-The baseball steroids issue
-The 2007 Fiesta Bowl Boise State vs. Oklahoma (Look it up on Youtube, the highlights are crazy)
-The 2006 Rose Bowl Texas vs. USC (Youtube that one too)
-Red Sox over Yankees 2004 ALCS (If you don't know what that is, then 1. You're a loser (JK) and 2. The Red Sox came back from 3-0 down to win the series 4-3)
-About a million other crazy games
