As you all know everyone has been looking forward to a new version of scratch! Since version 1.4 came out in June, and about every 6 months a new version comes out, Later this month (December) or sometime close to or slightly after the new year (2010, yay!) I've used Scratch since 1.2.1 back when I had another account (forgot username and pass, so don't ask), but I've been on this account since 1.3.
EDIT: *hopes for what everyone hoped, except FMT's because a message being broadcasted can't be true or false...*

Yes it can.
The block <[message] received]?> would report if a certain message has been broadcasted.
received [message]? true or false? True!
see?

Or <broadcasting []?>.
If a sprite is broadcasting that message
{
return true;
}
else
{
return false;
}

I rember that too.
By the way, why don't they just skip to 2.0? That would be great!

If they skip to 2.0, they'd have to do serious changes (like more* object-oriented programming, faster and... generally, better). Also, if anybody would like to use .NET** in Scratch?
*erm... is scratch object-orienter right now? I mean, v0.1 was, but...
**Microsoft.NET - programming framework by Microsoft.

We will only be able to know that from the Scratch Team, and I don't think they've released that information yet.
