A lot of users on Scratch have Tablets, and use them to make drawing easier. Here are some suggestions for a Tablet friendly Scratch.
1. Pen pressure:
The most wonderful thing about a tablet is pen pressure. Pen pressure lets your lines get bigger or smaller, depending on how hard you press down.
Wouldn't this be WONDERFUL for tablet users? It would make the art look ten times better.
Also on the fact of pen pressure, you could do some cool rainbow effects via pressure. Red= hard pressure, etc.
2. Tablet pen/mouse buttons.
When you use a tablet friendly program, it recognizes the buttons on the tablet pen/mouse and on the tablet itself.
Right clicking could bring up brush sizes, as it does in Photoshop.
Left click could bring up colors.
The scroll pad on the actual tablet could allow you to zoom in and out!
The possibilities are endless.
I hope you consider these suggestions, and happy Scratching!

I don't think we want more art. But these are nice suggestions, I don't have much use of art, so I rarely use the Paint Editor.

You do realize most people who have scratch don't have a tablet?
Right?

True, but a lot of people still do. Every person counts.
Although I still have everything against features to make things more art oriented. Focus on the programming people. But if you don't like what I'm saying than just ignore me :)

If you have a tablet. Make better use of it.
Use external programs to make sprites.

I love the Scratch editor. I have a tablet, too, and these features are very nice.

If you love it, why change it?
You could get any feature on GIMP that you could get on scratch editor.

I don't think that art is a bad thing here on scratch, but if it's just images and music, it's a bit pointless. Scratch is about programming but animations would be more appropriate.
I do agree about some parts of tablet cooperation (my tablet doesn't work well in the editor) but thicknesses etc are really unneeded.
I mean, you can still do things without the need of pressure etc.

*looks at the date* You know, I just noticed that this is a rather old suggestion. ^^
Now back on topic: Not to say that these features are bad (for tablet users, most of these things are rather practical), but Scratch is kind of pretty heavy on the computer already; I'd imagine adding tablet capabilities would make Scratch even more memory hungry and more laggy.

Also, Scratch really isn't intended for making a Picasso. If you want that, you'd be better set with something of a higher quality image editor.
@Harakou - there definitely has been a surge in necroposts.

Your math is wrong
I think everyone who's posted in this except you knows what a tablet is
It's like a laptop that you can also draw on directly into a computer
