well yeah, the sprite is actually bigger than the stage

Yes it is, scrolling doesn't have to be done with variables
it just needs to move across the screen and off the edge of the screen as well

Yay - Apparently I'm the goal for a good 1S 1S Platformer. 
Anyways, this is a great base! Can't wait for the full game. Maybe just need some scrollx, y?
