i used to delete them until i got a front page project.  within a couple months, i have almost 1000 notifications. maybe have an auto-delete after 30 days system?

Doesn't help much, seeing as I get about 20 messages at a time.

That's a list of people YOU have added, not people who have added YOU. Messages are the only way of keeping track of people who have friended you.

i do the same thing.

once i had 94 messages and deleted 92.  most were i add all my projects to galleries

I've always deleted my notifications after I read them.

i always delete my messages anyway! =3 not that i get a lot.. XD my brother has about 340 some so i'll tell him to delete them.

I agree that when you get notifications delete them immediately. Though some people decide not to, it slows down the website. If you wish to make the server more fast and with less bugs, please delete all notifications after reading them, as we all should.
