Hey there. Have you ever wanted to make your own forums before? Well I can teach you. First off, you need a website and some type of web host. I use http://zymic.com/ because it is easy to use and is FREE!!! First set up an account there and then click on free hosting and make a website. Remember the domain that you make. That is important. Next get your choice of forum such as FluxBB.org or phpBB which I prefer and use. You need to download their forums and remember where you download the file to. Next you need a ftp client of some sort. If you have a Mac, then use Cyberduck. If you have a Windows computer, then use Filezilla. The ftp application will upload the forum files you downloaded. Now that we have the software, you need to create a mySQL database on zymic.com by logging in and clicking on "control panel home" in the left hand side. Once you click on that click next to your website in the control panel on the "login" button. Once you have done that click on mySQL database management. Create a database name and then database user name and assign permissions. Remember your database name and database username otherwise you can't create your forums. Now fire up your ftp (file transfer protocol) application, while that is opening up, login into your site on zymic.com and at the top it will say your ftp address and ftp username, you need to enter that information into your ftp application. Once you have entered that information, you need to drag and drop your forum folder that you should have once you unarchived the .zip file or some other file onto the ftp application. It should begin uploading, if it doesn't click "upload" and let it upload. Once it has uploaded, look at all your files that your ftp application says you have and right click on the folder you uploaded and click "copy url" or "open url in a new tab or window". Now go to that url and remember that url and go through the process of setting up your forum. You will need to enter your database name and database user name you have created.
