My opinion is that the Scratch community should welcome any kind of media. I've seen artists becoming programmers and vice versa. I think diversity makes a richer creative environment. Some of my favorite Scratch projects involve original art, music, story and programming. Here is a challenge for you: find a partner who enjoys creating something totally different from you and collaborate in creating a project together. If you're into art find a programmer, if you're into programming find an artist, if you're into both find anyone else!

That's a cool idea! You could end up with a very advanced game with state-of-the-art graphics.

That's what I'm already doing Andres, with my sister. A horrible artist, but is amazing at programming. We're making a collab, a Christmas Carol like thing.

This topic kind of died 20 days ago...But I have something to say. I'm against the age restrictions on sites, and should just block anything innapropriate. You could put things on deviantART but, not everybody is comfortable with lying ages to get into sites, for me - it depends, can I avoid overly mature content? Is it THAT bad? No, deviantART mature content is very avoidable, and these days - To many, it ain't THAT mature...
THEREFORE, Scratch is a GREAT place, for those uncomfortable with age lying.
EDIT: I never lie about age, unless it's for these restricted things.

Wow - super Necropost.
Personally I think only art that is useful to others or has a meaning behind it should be uploaded. Otherwise, other people don't get much benefit except from seeing a pretty picture.

Um, duh. Scratch is about ideas, and creativity, and the feeling of a nice, supportive community. Art supports all of that. So, I say, yes, art does belong on scratch.
Plus, I like to draw, so... yeah, I would support art.
