About Sound Recording

I try to record my voice and export to a file.

I found it is WAV format file, but I can not play it iwth my windows media player, is it a special wav format?

How should I do for playing my record sound file with windows media player?

BTW, I record my voice through mic of my laptop, there is a little noise in the sound file, I double checked the mic and record my voice by windows record application, the recording file is WMA formay, it sounds very clear.

I do not know why, is it possible that the wav sampling rates are different?

Thanks!

Hunter

Re: About Sound Recording

you mean you recorded it with scratch and tried to open it with windows media player right?

yeah, the whole format thing is confusing.  as far as i figured out, some of the scratch media files say they are .wav files, but by my experience, it only works with .mp3 files.  you could open it with iTunes instead...

Re: About Sound Recording

I think this has been a big bug for quite a while. I think you should try recording in programs outside of scratch.  smile
