I know Christmas is far away, but I thought this would be interesting anyway... For me Christmas is all about the presents and fun*.
So what do you want?
* I swear, if anyone mentions the fact that Christ is in the word Christmas, and says CHRIST-mas.... I do not care about the fact that it is a religuous holiday, I really just like meeting with family and friends, getting good food, and giving and recieving presents.

I mostly want video games, for the ds. I do like christmas too! I always have family over! IT'S SO FUN!

Heh - the things I really want are too expensive to be received as gifts, so I'll probably settle for some DVDs (Watchmen, Cloverfield, and Doctor Horrible's Sing Along Blog), some books (Unseen Academicals, and see if the 3rd part of the Void Trilogy is out yet) and some DIY store vouchers so I can tackle some of the home improvement stuff I need to get done over the holiday...

I only read foot notes.
And I agree.
Speaking of which, why can't commercials just say "Making your Holidays Better" instead of "Making your Christmas better"
It's frankly the most idiotic thing I've ever heard of.
Also, what about the fact that Christmas always falls over Winter break (In the N. Hemisphere, duh) but most of the time Hanukkah doesn't? Who here remembers the year Hanukkah was in January? What about that?
Frankly, this is plain bull.
Christian holidays off from school:
-Good Friday
-Easter
-Christmas
Jewish holidays off from school:
-Rosh Hashanah
-Yom Kippur
That's it. What happened to equality in schools?
And I swear I had a calendar that said fly the flag on Christmas. (And a million that say Christmas is a national holiday)
Anyway, making identical thread for Hanukkah...

This is more of what we do on Christmas more than what I want. So be warned.
I'm going to spend time with family, and get some gifts (I hope).
On Christmas Eve, our relatives will come and receive/give gifts. On Christmas Day, my college siblings are coming home, we'll get up really early and wait until 8:00 (we can't open our presents until then). We'll do our stockings first, have breakfast (usually pancakes or French toast), then do the big stuff. Then our day will go like normal, and at 7:00 we'll have our traditional Christmas dinner.
I'm hoping to receive several things: a keytar (Roland Ax-Synth) and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. That's about it.
That's our holiday season for you.

You don't have to make a mod change the title or anything. No worries...
That's no reason to make it a national holiday/not give off school to Hanukkah.
My teacher is an atheist-Christmas-celebrator also, just saying. (Converted to Judaism when she got married, but not the point here)
Anyway, random fact:
Christmas has presents because a group of parents made that up.
Hanukkah has presents because it is trying to be fair to Jewish kids. (which I totally agreed with doing...

Sounds like fun!
In Germany, presents are recieved on the 24th (late at night..) So I get my presents earlier then pretty much everyone else! And we get a traditional German dinner (usually goose)...

In the country where my parents are from (the Philippines), they begin to think about Christmas once the months end in the letters -"ber". Which means, yes, they start thinking about Christmas in September. Oh, and because the Philippines is a warm climate, some families will use a palm tree as a Christmas tree.
Pasko na...
I'm past the point where I really want presents. What I really want is to be with family and enjoy the holidays. And roast some giant marshmallows in the fireplace.

Well, my parents agreed to get me a netbook(This One) for my birthday which falls 2 weeks before Christmas, so I will probably ask for a headset and stuff. I am not really sure.

What does this guy have against christian holidays! MOST DAYS OFF ARE BY MAJORITY!
If lots of people celebrate Christmas, then we get that day off! If lots of people celebrate Easter (which is always on a day off where I'm from), then we get that day off.
MOST PEOPLE celebrate Christmas, so we get then off. That's what this post is about.

I don't want much this Christmas, I get everything I want. My friends, family, fun, needs, and wants! I'm getting a tablet, bass guitar, and possibly acoustic guitar.

I have nothing against them.
But the US is supposed to be a nation of equality and such.
