I'm working on a 10 minute long animation using Flash that I will be submitting to Newgrounds upon completion (My user is Nikkiperson2 on Newgrounds). Here's a screenshot of it so far:
It should be done by December

Cool, can't wait to see it

Awesomesauce. (I can't believe I just said that xD) I can't wait until it's done!
By the way, I have a discount that allows me to buy Flash for $300.... Should I take it?
Please leave a message at the beep.Offline

Hey, that's my line! Plus, you should definitely buy it.
Hey nikki, I can't wait for it to come out. How much of it is done?

From what I can see (through the picture)you only have 1 or so motion tweens?

You've spent that much time working or is that how long the animation is so far?

I don't really like Tweening. I prefer to do it keyframe by keyframe, changing it a little each time.
I'm old fashioned like that.

No...That's how much 'footage' there is so far.
It's actually very daunting ;_; I may shave off a minute or two, if not only to spare my sanity.

10 minutes worth of animation is a lot... wow
If its good enough I think you have a pretty good chance of getting frontpage on NG which is like 50k views.

PRIMITIVE!!!!!

Tweening is worse than doing frame by frame. You can only get basic motions with tweens.

Exactly.
Plus, you can't even edit the layer in the frames in which it's been tweened.

Animating with Flash is simple
I haven't even begun to try programming with Flash. I don't even know where to start.

Animating with scratch is confusing compared to animating with flash.
You need some coding knowledge if you want to use flash though To do things like stop and play. Its pretty simple though, to stop the movie, just type stop(); on whatever frame you want. There is also gotoAndStop(); gotoAndPlay(); and similar ones.

Go to the coding tutorials and look up timeline controls. It would also be a good idea to download the pre-made proloader on that page. You can edit it if you don't like the way it looks.

I wish I had flash...yeah, but animating is pretty simple. You don't really need to code much when making an animation. But you are making ten minutes long, which is....really long. Anyways, can't wait to see it!

Hey I wasn't saying tweening was the best way to do it, I was just making an observation XD
I'd start programming in Flash, except I don't have any good ideas, or sprites to work with
