Is it possible for scratch to make something for making applications for iphones/itouch, because to make an app for that is so tricky using c++ on my computer, and im not very good at it. So I was hoping you would get this message and make another version of scratch for iphone and touch apps. Please reply.
Also to make an app on c++ you would have to jailbreak you ipod, but I would hate hacking my ipod, so you might need some arangment with 'Apple' to create a scratch version whithout jailbreaking the ipod.
Anyway I hope u can!!!

Please, we could try NDS to, but i'm not giving my point to members, i'm trying to get it though to MIT or the people who made scratch, because it is a good idea, and theres no-one else on the market, making a ipod app maker would be the first programer for people with little or no programing experience. They could even make money from it. I'd buy it!!!
Just give my point a chance would you.

I'm sorry, but the Iphone platform does not support neither the Java or Squeak VMs. There is no chance.

Actually there is a hack, if you jailbreak your iphone/itouch you can get the squeak VM. http://isqueak.org/HomePage

A fake compiler, like jen's, may be possible.
However, it would take a lot of work.
Alternatively:
I have been working on a scratch-to-javascript compiler, which makes a project into a web page. This could then be played through the safari browser.
The 'app' like part could just be a link to the page.
A bit roundabout, perhaps, but still possible.
