im sorry, i just saw this post and i have to say, its kinda funny. i put the best projects of dg games in this forum because one of your team members asked about it. also, i have a business manager outside of scratch working on getting dg games liscensing so we will be an actual company. and finally, i have recieved many awards by scratch developers as one of the greatest scratch companys of all time, so i can back that up and i didnt make it up. unfortunatly i dont keep that many people on my friends list and i dont rememeber who did what, lol. i am a very nice guy to talk to, but if you want to say something about my company, get your facts straight first.

As far as i am concerned, these are the most well working, well developed, and fun games we have created so far. Our current group project is RAIN OF MERCY which will change what people think of scratch forever. I am currently working on my long awaited JDI game which will be 100x bigger than RAIN OF MERCY. others are working on games confidential so they can surprise everyone when they get released.
sincerly, Leader and Game Designer, ChaoticDA good slogan, but you haven't really impressed me, *3d tennis has, and he's not even rubbing it in people's faces. Actually this isn't even a TRUE company, you just hired some good programmers, then they put the DG logo on there games. FT incorporates artists, programmers, and think tanks. If anything, FT also incorporates HUMILITY. I don't see FunkyMonkey going to the DG gallery and start bragging about his company, I just see you... As for your ONE company project well, thats not even complete. I suggest that before you go change how people think of scratch or go bragging about how good you are, or how big your company is, have the projects to back it up.

LOL)
Who said you were the best company? How there been an OFFICIAL (or at least an unbiased) contest that gives you that title? What? There hasn't? Then ChaoticD was making that up? oooh this not look good. You also might want to remove that too.

Do you have links? I know you do have an outstanding company, but best on scratch is something different, and the scratch team are very reluctant to say the best of anything, while you are free to make your own opinions, You shouldn't go bragging about the best. Do you also have a group project finished? Rain of Mercy is still in the beginning development phase and orbital shift is probably in the intermediate stage.
FT have already released a major group project, and got many a love its+frontpaged and curated.
Also, you might not want to write LOL! it's rude and makes people annoyed at you. In another sense how can you have a business manager if you aren't making a profit, or sustaining a loss? Doesn't that make having a business manager pointless? Also do you expect your members to switch to the new language for whatever console your working on. Most of your members joined to get an advertising bonus, or work with other talented scratcher, and switching to a new, far more advanced language could easily prompt more then a few to drop out.
Assuming you have made the switch AND turned console, AND have people who know the language, making games on consoles are a lot more complex, and more demanding, the learning curve is also harsher, it would probably take 1-2 years, assuming your members give up scratch. After all of that, how much profit can you expect to make? enough to have someone manage your business? Enough to make the switch worth it. If you don't want profits, then what will encourage your members to stay, and not simply just carry on doing scratch? Or then why do you insist on doing everything so professionally? If not for profit, shouldn't companies be fun, without strict regulations?
In addition to that, please provide proof of all your wondrous projects you have made, but don't release. If what you say is true, I would only be too happy to eat my words. It's 2010, and I am interested to see how JD is doing. I am still waiting to be impressed and change how I think about scratch.
You should also maybe take another look at your company have no major collab projects out, and your size is only due to the number of employees, I would think on that.
If you want my full unabridged rant, I would be only to happy to email you a copy.

ok everyone chill
i think fireball ahs fair points and honestly i do think we need to tone down the formalities, however we really do believe we'll move on to things other then scratch. i for one think that chaoticD is right in some ways but i think that ALL of fireball123's points are valid and i think the most important thing is making sure that were a likeable company. so i think we should stop boasting and start working.

I agree with everyone that doesn't agree with ChaoticD. I'd love to see DG Games an official company, but HAVE YOU GUYS EVER MET YET? I mean, fanofcena is in India, FantasyTales is in Canada (
), and ChaoticD is in the US. I mean, how could you well, create an actual game company if the members haven't met each other yet? Also, what kind of crazy ADULT would want to join a company led by a KID!?!?!?!?!?!? LOL, now THIS is the real thing that is hilarious. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.
@Pinochio: Best wishes. I hope Evil Strings will become one of the best companies (maybe even better than DG) on Scratch. You guys are actually having fun while making your projects.
@Fireball123: You're the man!
@funkymonkey: Hope someday we can work on another project together.
@ChaoticD: Why did you delete my comment on your tutorial? I said nothing mean (compared to what you said)

It would be great to see all this energy that is being expended applied to creating more great games instead of trying to tear each other down. There's room in Scratch for everybody to create- it's not really a competition. Let's try and keep the conversation polite and maybe focus on cooperation or at least peaceful coexistence, okay?

That's exactly what the FTers are trying to promote. (But with the DG Games members . . . )

OK - here's what I think.
DG is not the best company, nor is Flaming Trout. No company on scratch is the best. If you want the best games company go look up Bungie. Quit arguing.
And please don't use my projects as examples in an argument.

There is no best company! Bungie might be the creator of Halo, but that doesn't mean it's the best company!
No offense

Well we are talking bout scratch companies here and the best company is UBISOFT not bungie as UBISOFT has cross genre super famous games not as BUNGIE with just HALO as famous game.
