joystick control

I know ManaUser has already done this with Joytail, but I would like to know if there is a way to use a joystick using only the default 1.4 blocks. any help will be useful!

Re: joystick control

Joy2Key

Use your Joystick buttons to simulate a keyboard.

Uses only the http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/img/sb_no_nums/when_keypressed.png  block.

Yes, but is not a mod of scratch. Just click the link and you'll figure it out.

Re: joystick control

I clicked the link. this makes sense, but what I really want is

only the default 1.4 blocks

PS where did you find LMGTFY (let me google that for you)?

It does only use the default 1.4 blocks.

For example, you can set the X button on your joystick to simulate...say... the space bar.

That only uses the default blocks. (when space key pressed)

And, you just google "let me google that for you" and you find a ton of these websites.

Then. No. Not possible. It will require other programs (squeak modifications of scratch, etc.)
