install on Ubuuntu 8.04?

I have scratch installed fine on my Ubuntu 9.04 machine, but I also have netbook on 8.04 (and it would be a pain to upgrade it).  I tried installing the scratch deb file on the netbook, but I got an error saying libcairo2 was an unsatisfiable dependency.  Any options?

I managed to put it onto 8.04, but I turned my machine into windows so I wouldn't be able to help you...
