I personally don't advocate the use of Choice Items anyway, except on Trick pokemon. Otherwise I find that the movepool restrictions aren't worth the boost in power. Smogon doesnt agree with me though.

I could just wall it with my swampert. Only reason it didn't work that time is that I had used it to kill his aerodactly, which cut me down to 62 HP. Or, After I am done spiking, I could just explode with the cloyster.
