Yeah, junx is weird. However, I think that combee is the weirdest, seeing as its just a hexagon. They really lost creativity in this gen.

Re: The Pokémon Center: Tournaments, Trades, and Battles

Weathers And What They Do

The weather is a fundamental part of competitive Pokemon battling and can make the difference between victory and defeat when used to their full effect. Here, we’ll find out exactly what each weather does, specific abilities related to the weather, and what they mean for your team.

Sunshine

Sunshine triggers the following effects:
-    Fire type moves become 50% more powerful
-    The move Solarbeam becomes a 1 turn move without the need to charge up
-    Prevents Pokemon from being frozen

Specific abilities related to Sunshine:

Drought – Summons sunlight permanently when the Pokemon with this ability is brought into battle
Chlorophyll – The speed of a Pokemon with this ability is doubled in Sunshine.
Leaf Guard – A Pokemon with this ability cannot be afflicted by status effects in sunshine
Flower Gift – Boosts the Pokemon’s (And in doubles, it’s partners’) Attack and Special Defense by 50% each.

Rain

Rain triggers the following effects:
-    Water type moves become 50% more powerful
-    The move Thunder has 100% accuracy in rain
-    Prevents Pokemon from being burned

Specific abilities relating to Rain:

Drizzle – Summons rain permanently when the Pokemon with this ability is brought into battle
Swift Swim – The Speed of a Pokemon with this ability is doubled in Rain
Dry Skin – A Pokemon with this ability is healed each turn when rain is active. However, it is damaged when sunshine is active.
Rain Dish - A Pokemon with this ability is healed each turn when rain is active.
Hydration – A Pokemon with this ability cannot be afflicted by status effects in rain

Sandstorm

Sandstorm triggers the following effects:
-    Pokemon which are not Ground, Rock or Steel type get damaged 1/16 of their max HP each turn.
-    The Special Defense of rock type Pokemon is increased by 50%

Specific Abilities relating to Sandstorm:

Sand Stream – Permanently summons a sandstorm when a Pokemon with this ability is brought into battle
Sand Veil – The Evasion of a Pokemon with this ability is raised by 20% when a sandstorm is active

Hail

Hail triggers the following effects:
-    Pokemon which are not Ice type lose 1/16 HP every turn
-    Blizzard becomes a 100% accuracy move in Hail

Specific Abilities relating to Hail:

Snow Warning – Permanently summons Hail when a Pokemon with this ability is brought into battle
Snow Cloak – The evasion of a Pokemon with this ability is raised by 20% when a sandstorm is active
Ice Body – A Pokemon with this ability is healed each turn if it is hailing.

Also to be noted, Castform changes form and type depending on the weather, due to his ability.

These are all the main effects of the different weathers. They all have various practical applications.

For instance, if a Pokemon has an ability which prevents status effects under a certain weather condition, the Pokemon can use Rest without getting put to sleep under that weather condition. Knowing that Thunder has 100% accuracy in the rain is very helpful when you want something to specifically counter Kyogre. If you know that Tyranitar’s already monstrous Special Defense is boosted 50% because of the sandstorm he summons, you won’t be one of the people who foolishly try to Surf him into oblivion and end up eating a Dragon Danced Earthquake.

A great guide, but incomplete. Rain Dish, you forgot that ability.
