The Unofficial Moderator election

YOU CANNOT RUN ANY LONGER. THE OFFICIAL NOMINEES FOR THE UNOFFICIAL ELECTION ARE ALREADY POSTED IN THE POST BELOW.

ANNOUCEMENT:

Dream-Caster wrote:

(The others are Demosthenes and Nikkiperson2)

ANNOUNCEMENT:

andresmh wrote:

it's nice to see some community-driven democratic process going on!

if you decide to make an election, I'd suggest you to check out http://selectricity.org, this is a website that a friend of mine here at MIT created to do online voting.

The TBG (Text based games) are being closed as a topic and for those of you who enjoy it, the Scratch team my possibly open another topic where the TBG can be put. This would require many moderators. To read more, click the link. http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=24351

Please note I am not a mod or part of the scratch team. I am J0j2, a scratcher, who has been scratch-ing for about 2 years now.

This is the UNOFFICIAL election, just made for the mods and team to get a feel if we all want the new TBGs. If you'd like to run as a moderator for these new forums, please read through some terms and conditions.

1. I am willing to devote my time to this and will be on for a while longer.*
2. I am ready to have responsibility. (Be honest with this, please.)
3. I have been on scratch for a fair amount of time
4. I have a good sense of right and wrong
5. I can control being bias. (Favoring)

                       *More than a year.

So, if you agree with these statements, feel free to post if you'd like to run. Again, this is Unoffical and is just to get a feel about if the new forums for TBGs are a good decision. Please state some reasons why you would be a great moderator.

Thanks so much for your reading

J0j2
There will be an extra post under this one for a list of people who like this idea of a new forum.

Re: The Unofficial Moderator election

I am J0j2, and I have been scratching for about 2 years now. I would really love to be a moderator because I spend lots of time on scratch, check the forums daily and I'm alright at the program itself. I would be overjoyed to become a moderator, because I love the forums.

some more reasons: I get along well with other scratchers, I am intouch with lots of things that go on in scratch, I went to scratch day (I don't really think that counts though.).

I said, this is unofficial just for the Scratch team to get an idea if people want this or not.

Re: The Unofficial Moderator election

I'd like to join! I feel that I am able to take on the responsibility of being a moderator and will be on Scratch for quite a while. I also feel that, while my judgement may have been wrong in the past, I will be able to be un-biased upon all decisions. I go on the website daily for longer than you might think, checking the forums for new problems to solve. I love these forums a lot and would love to contribute to it. I have been on these forums for 1 year and almost 8 months and would love to give back to Scratch.

While I wouldn't be extremely upset if I didn't become a moderator, I love these forums a lot. I don't use Text-Based Games a lot but I would love to give back to these forums. I like the usual forums a lot better, but I wouldn't mind becoming a part of the moderating committee  smile

Re: The Unofficial Moderator election

Time to copy and paste

I would like to be a mod for the following reasons,

1 I have experience moderating on some forums,
2 I been on scratch for awhile on some other accounts before this one and I flag inappropriate stuff any chance i get,
3 I am on scratch every day.

I have watch scratch grow and I showed my friend Dolfus555 scratch and he created the best project ever on top loved with over one thousand love its.Super mario galaxy, although he has moved on to xbox live XD hahaha. I have made many friends BEFORE they became "famous".I plan to stay on Scratch for awhile and I don't plan on leaving.Text based forums was most likely the best thing that happened to this site (besides the curse filters) and I love role-playing.I been role-playing ever since i signed up on neopets so i would like to encourage the recreation of this forum and might possibly help by being a moderator
