its only natural for people to be less active at christmas.
But that is quiet a significant drop, wheres our math experts to work out the quadratic equation... thingy.

This new data is going to be interesting. I'll use a quadratic equation again
(ax^2 + bx + c)
Old quadratic equation;
number of projects = 117.76785*weeks^2 + 7137.5678*weeks + 566920.7
New (Week Ten) quadratic equation;
number of projects = -58.67*weeks^2 + 8407.53*weeks + 565222.31
We are now losing the number of projects been added. I'll find the maximun amount of projects then.
The maximun amount of projects is going to be 866426 at week 71.65 but remember this data is outside the know data range so it is invalide.
By week 193 there will be no projects on the Scratch website.

I think somethings gone wrong there...

I know it seems strange but that's what the data shows. A decrease of 58.67 projects being added every week. (eg. 1000 projects added one week. 941.33 projects added the next week.) Eventually no projects will be added and because it's a quadratic, more projects will now be taken down than put on the site. Resulting in zero projects on the site before going into the negatives.

Then that means scratch is going to die? i dont think that'll happen that soon. If technology advances, then scratch might die, but probably not. There will always be more people joining, and if people upload projects like mad, e.g. the hamster fans, then that adds a large amount, so scratch isn't likely to do that, its probably just an error because of the slump that happened, nobody and nothing says that its going to keep decreasing. (Except your calculator)

hmmm... no surprise for the spike at new year, probably everyone saying happy new year to everyone else, or new year releases.
I was hoping to release my new game at new year, but i ran into some glitches. Just to say.

I bet there's going to be a huge spike all summer long... It's really interesting noticing where and why the spikes appear.
I think the current prediction is pretty close.

In my perspective, the increasements are going at a slight down-slope, but thats just based on what I can see...

Excel is terrible. Use Graphmatica (Google search it).

And on what base of fact do you have to argue it is terrible? Excel is not only for making graphs, it is a Spredsheat program, with many other useful features.

Are you just siding with excel because it came on your computers free? Good news: Graphmatica is free too.

So not exactly free....
And I don't think it helps that much anyways.

Iv got Microsoft Office Excel aswell as the rest of the pack.I think my dad has the Disk somewhere, he installs it on all new computers, no idea how much it is ofcourse, but its pretty handy.
Plus Excel isn't just for making charts, its a spreadhseet program, with many other cool and ueful features. I just think that Ace-of-Spades has something against Microsoft, like a whole load of other people.
Ill admit im using Mozila firefox now, but thats just because scratch hates IE8. i prefer IE8/IE7 though, much easier favouriting and history acess.
