Contributors vs. Non-Contributors

I made a little chart that shows the number of contributing members.

I will make another one in a week or so... and after awile i'll take the data and make a line graph to show Scratch's progress.  big_smile

I may also do this with the number of projects... That way we may be able to predict when Scratch will have 1,000,000 projects!  lol

No, I think that the rate for uploaded projects/day is becoming faster and faster at different rates. So it is impossible to accurately predict when we will have our 1,000,000th project.

It is possible to narrow it down to a week, or at least month right?

Re: Contributors vs. Non-Contributors

Yeah, it took us about 3 months to get 100,000 projects... (600,000 to 700,000)

Actually, that is what an exponetial or quadratic graph is for. I have a calculator (TI-83) that will let me put in the points and thenfind out what the equation is. I then just have the best fit graph intercept at 1,000,000 and we find out when it will hit. It will even tell me to what percentage it is accurate.

OooooooOh.... When I get a bit more data in could you do that for us?  lol

Depends on how much data you have. I will not plug in 500 values into my calculator, but I can put in around 10. Needs to be around 10 anyways to be accurate.

I am adding a value every Sunday. If I did that 500 times, it would take about 9 years. http://tinyurl.com/XDforums
